About Me
Pieternelle Maris is a Fine Arts student at Maastricht Institute of Arts working towards her graduation. Inspired by (art) philosophy she focuses on the perception of an image and searches for aesthetic rapture. She researches and expresses her creative source through different media, predominantly in the disciplines film, photography and linguistics.
This year she will be studying the MRes Art: Theory and Philosophy at the University of the Arts London. Continuing her artistic research in a new context.

Gymnasium Camphusianum
Highschool education graduated with a NT-profile (with Wiskunde D) and Latin.
Accelerated final exam in English and Math (Wiskunde B) a year earlier.
2021-2025
BA Fine Art, Zuyd hogeschool
Specialized in photography, film and language
During the second year finished an extracurricular module at the BA Cultural Media Design course (MMT). Got an extra 15 ECTS for this module and learned to work with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Json and Arduino.
Graduated with an 8 for my final project.
