During my exchange in Leeds I found it difficult to make time for my own artistic practice. Photography has always been a medium that has come to me relatively easy. It is a therapeutic process, grounding myself in the here and now. So when I saw an old analogue camera for 10 pounds at the Kirkgate Market I found myself at the beginning of a different approach to photography. This way of taking pictures made more room for experimentation and pushing me outside of my comfort zone. Capturing people and buildings in a way I would never have done with my digital camera.
