I have found an interest in the development of different media within the art world. When photography was first discovered, it was not yet considered art worthy. Photography was much compared to painting given the same quadrangular frame. Painting has long had a place in the art world and continues to redefine what is considered part of this medium. With the development of new media within film, but certainly in recent years with digital art, the question of whether something is art remains relevant. Artificial intelligence and programming are slowly beginning to take their place within the art world. But often there is still a lot of misunderstanding and rejection from the classical art world towards these new media. 

Why do some people reject a certain medium? The respect for painting is great and during most art history classes, a lot of painting will be covered in detail. Design, architecture and graphic design are also at times on the border of art.
